In the beginning..
Once upon a time, long, long ago, the world was one big, wide-open space. Anyone could go anywhere, anyone could do anything, and anyone could get anything. Well, not exactly. But there were no laws, no police, no cowboys taking justice into their own hands, no churches damning us to hell. People lived in their corners of the earth and got by on what they had. They grew crops to eat, kept animals to ride and made clothes to wear. Everything was simpler, even the people.
As civilization developed, families became tribes became settlements became countries. We grew roots, we dropped anchors, we settled in. And soon, we wanted more.
So you’ve been around the block. You’ve weighed your options. You’ve done the math. You’ve made your choice.
So you’ve decided to start your own country.
Not surprising considering your options. Leaving it to others who know nothing about you to set your moral standard? Belonging to a group of people just because of where you are? These are things of the past. Why should we confine ourselves to these cages in this day and age? Are we not educated enough to make our own laws? Are we really doomed to crawl about our cribs forever?
